About us
Purpose Statement
The Marley Street Community Hub is established to be a Charity whose purposes are to be a Public Benevolent Institution for those people and families who are experiencing poverty, disadvantage or distress within Wellington and surrounding areas, and to advance the social and public welfare of the same community by; Providing educational support, skills, training and volunteering opportunities to increase independence. Deliver programs that address food security issues. Provide programs that reduce social isolation and enhance wellbeing. Develop activities that prevent sickness and distress. Provide Support Services for people experiencing hardship. Partner with organisations, community groups, government departments and philanthropic bodies to share and activate resources in order to grow, replicate, or introduce programs for the community. Doing all other things incidental to achieving and carrying out the purposes.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide a community service where everyone matters. To address social isolation, hardship, inequity and disadvantage by providing emergency relief, increasing community participation and providing support services. We aim to always be inclusive, diverse and supportive in order to benefit the wellbeing of our local community.
We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land of the Gunai Kurnai people. We pay our respects to their elders, past, present and emerging.
